Thank to Don Leung,

who ordered the Leather Kit for his Nikon J1. Don is a proud owner of the Top-Side-Addon already, that will come up into the shop soon. He got it as a gift because his first delivery failed. We are happy that Don is happy even he got his Kit later.

Nikon J2

Nikon überraschte heute mit der Neuvorstellung der J2. Diese war erst zur Photokina erwartet worden. Erfreulich ist, das unsere Kits auch auf die J2 hervorragend passen – mit einer kleinen Ausnahme. J2 Modelle, die ein geriffeltes Gehäuse haben, könnten zu wenig Oberfläche für eine Verbindung haben. Auf allen J2 Modellen mit glattem Gehäuse gibt es keine Probleme.

Die Nikon J2 knüpft an die J1 fast nahtlos an. Es scheint nur zwei Unterschiede zu geben: Das Moduswahlrad erhielt eine Funktion. Nikon verspricht dahinter noch ausgeklügeltere Hilfen für Schnappschussfotografen. Außerdem erhalt die J2 den hochauflösenderen Monitor der V1. Somit wird unterstrichen, dass die J1 bereits ein fast perfekter “Wurf” war, der nur kleinere Modellpflege benötigt, statt umfangreich nachgebessert zu werden. Erfreulicherweise soll die Kamera nun nicht nur mit dem Ausfahren des Objektives ein-, sondern mit dem Einfahren auch wieder ausschalten. Dies wird die Akkulaufzeit erhöhen, da viele J1 nach dem Schnappschuss noch eingeschaltet zurück in die Tasche kamen bis der Timer sie abstellte.

Steve already got some color samples, that aren’t in shop yet. I have to find a dealer who delivers me with smaller bunches as the standard size is much to big and much to expensive for me yet. As I have one, I can deliver those colors, too
